Lamont Pridmore Helps to give Cumbrian Tourism a Boost
Cumbria-based firm of chartered accountants and business advisors, Lamont Pridmore, is doing its bit to celebrate the region’s tourism trade, by sponsoring an award in a prestigious awards ceremony.
The firm will be sponsoring, and presenting, the ‘Taste of Cumbria’ award at the 2010 Cumbria Tourism Awards, at Rhegad, Penrith, on May 11.
These awards are a sign of recognition and celebration of the high standards offered across Cumbria’s extensive tourist industry. The ‘Taste of Cumbria’ accolade will see some of the area’s best eateries battling it out to claim the top prize.
This year’s finalists are Cranston’s Cumbrian Food Hall, The Cottage in the Wood and the George and Dragon, and the champion will be presented with the prize by Lamont Pridmore partner, Graham Lamont.
In order to be crowned as the winner, the finalists will have to demonstrate high levels of excellence and innovation throughout their business, including their food, welcome, service and marketing methods.
Graham Lamont said: “The tourism industry is an important part of Cumbria’s economy, and we have a considerable amount of clients operating in that area.
“The Cumbria Tourism Awards play a major role in highlighting the fantastic work that this sector does, and is vital in attracting new visitors to the Lake District. Visitors are essential to the development and success of the local economy, and so we are extremely proud to be a part of this and to do our bit to support local tourism.”
