Accountants Issue Guide To Help Flood-Stricken Businesses Get Back Up And Running

Businesses in Cumbria devastated by last week’s floods are to get a helping hand from local accountants, Lamont Pridmore.

The firm has put together a dossier of advice for owner managers, detailing what they need to do to pick up the pieces. It includes a series of helpful template letters that business owners can use to write to relevant parties such as HMRC and the council’s business rates office.

There are also some useful tips to help business owners protect against any future floods.

The guide and template letters are available to download from the Lamont Pridmore website.

“It is only natural that many business owners will be wondering where to begin when trying to sort out the chaos created by these terrible floods,” said Les Walker, managing director of Lamont Pridmore.

“We understand that these unprecedented floods have affected everyone, but when your livelihood is also affected there is additional worry and stress, particularly as small business owners in the area have already had to fight against the economic downturn.

“We are used to helping businesses to grow and improve, and in tough circumstances such as this, things are no different. I only hope that this guide can play a part in easing some of the strain.”
