Local accountant provides valuable advice to National firms
Accountants from all over the UK benefited from a local firm’s expertise last week when Chris Lamont, of Cumbrian based accountants and business advisors Lamont Pridmore, gave an informative presentation on disaster recovery strategies at the Corporate Finance Network’s spring conference held in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The Corporate Finance Network (CFN) is a national group of pro-active firms of accountants and business experts who specialise in offering SMEs and owner managed businesses comprehensive, practical business advice across the UK.
Lamont Pridmore, a CFN member, was happy to offer Chris’ expertise to the audience about how the firm helped clients to survive the devastating floods of November 2009, which hit so many businesses and homes, and how the firm themselves managed to carry on in such diverse conditions, by using tried and tested disaster recovery strategies.
Chris discussed the importance of effective disaster recovery planning for businesses of all shapes and sizes including accountancy firms and their clients. He said: “We have now provided a disaster recovery review to a number of clients and they have all now put in place mechanisms to enable them to deal with a disruption to their business.
“When people think of disaster recovery they picture floods or fire, which they do not think will happen to them, but it also includes I.T. issues or the loss of a key member of staff, which are much more likely!”
