Lamont Pridmore celebrates the taste of Cumbria at awards ceremony
Cumbria-based firm of chartered accountants, tax and business advisors, Lamont Pridmore, sponsored ‘The Taste of Cumbria’ category at this year’s Cumbria Tourism Awards, proudly playing their part in promoting the region’s tourism industry.
Lamont Pridmore chief executive and managing partner, Graham Lamont, was on hand to present the highly coveted award to the worthy winner, The Cottage in the Wood, Whinlatter.
The winner came out on top ahead of fellow competitors, Cranston’s Cumbrian Food Hall and the George and Dragon. In the bid for the prize, the contenders had to demonstrate high levels of excellence and innovation throughout their business, including their food, welcome, service and marketing methods.
The awards were hosted by Radio 2 presenter, Stuart Maconie, and the whole evening was well attended, with over 250 people present for the glittering ceremony, followed by dinner, at Rheged, Penrith, on May 11.
Commenting on the evening, Graham said: “I was very pleased to have been able to present this award to such a worthy winner. These awards contribute a tremendous amount to the promotion of an industry which is enormously important to our region, and one in which we have a lot of clients.
“It is fantastic for the firm, to be involved in such a wonderfully positive event for Cumbria.”
