Lamont Pridmore is UK's most innovative medium-sized firm!
Lamont Pridmore, the Cumbrian-based family firm of chartered accountants, business and tax advisers, is celebrating after being named as the ‘Most Innovative Medium-sized Firm in the UK’ at this year’s 2020 Annual Innovation Awards. |

The firm’s Graham and Chris Lamont were presented with the accolade by former England goalkeeping legend Peter Shilton MBE, OBE in a ceremony at Birmingham’s Hilton Metropole Hotel on 13th October 2011. The awards were organised by the 2020 Group, the UK’s leading membership organisation for progressive accountants and tax professionals in the United Kingdom and Ireland. 2020 Group members are continually looking for ways to assist their clients to grow their business, save them time and help them to make more money.
To be considered for this prestigious award, firms had to demonstrate how they:

Add significant value for clients;

Improve client focus, effectiveness and innovation;

Win new clients, and
-
Improve their competitive advantage by changes in systems and workflows.
Judges were particularly impressed with the range of innovations that Lamont Pridmore has implemented, including its outsourced finance director service, its innovative approach to staff training and development , its customer care programme and its successful switch to ‘Cloud’ computing to increase efficiency.
Winning the award is just the latest success for Lamont Pridmore in a year which has seen it ranked in Accountancy Age magazine’s top 100 UK firms listing for a second consecutive year. The firm has also been shortlisted for both the forthcoming British Accountancy Awards and the CN Group Business Awards. Lamont Pridmore is also a National Training Award holder and was the first chartered accountancy firm in Cumbria to achieve the coveted ‘Investor in People’ status.
Chief executive Graham Lamont said: “To be runner-up last year was fantastic, but to be named as the winner this year is just incredible.

This award is a testament to their dedication and they should all be very proud of themselves.”
