Judging and sponsoring awards comes naturally
Our managing partner, Graham Lamont, is one of the judges for the National Business Awards, North West of England region.
Commenting on the awards, Graham Lamont said, “I am delighted to have been chosen as a judge for the National Business Awards. The standard of entries is exceptionally high this year and I am continually impressed by the entrepreneurial skills and dedication of the people who have built these businesses. I know that my experiences of working with local businesses will help me to be objective in the judging and will also allow me to give the finalists advice and pointers towards even greater success.”
Regional finals are being conducted throughout May, with the awards ceremonies taking place during July. Categories include “Best Use of Technology in Business”, “Business Innovation of the Year”, “Business of the Year”, “Customer Focus”, “Employer of the Year”, “Growth Strategy of the Year”, “Entrepreneur of the Year”, “Corporate and Social Responsibility” and “The Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year”.
Together with its coaching and business consultancy arm, The Winning Company, Lamont Pridmore is sponsoring the Cumbria Tourism Business & Skills Awards 2007. Both firms specialise in the tourism sector; The Winning Company was the lead consultant in the “Profit Through Productivity” programme which coached 58 Cumbrian tourism businesses, increasing their combined net profits in the first year by over £1m. The company also coaches other firms of chartered accountants and a wide range of organisations in many sectors throughout the UK to help them to improve their performance and net profitability.
Lamont Pridmore is in the top 10% of accountancy practices in the UK and has won the Excellence in Cumbria Award, the IIP Award for Cumbria and recently a National Training Award, one of only 50 awarded annually in the whole of the UK.
