How green is your accountant (solicitor, bank, garage etc)?
The various different categories of the World Business Magazine Green Awards are open for entries until 31st July, and further information can be found at www.worldbusinessgreenawards.com.
The World Business 'Green Business Awards' will recognise and reward companies that are working towards preserving the environment.
Awards will be given for:
- Best overall green business of the year
- The most outstanding company in green business
- Best sustainable green business
- The company with the best processes and plans to make its green practices sustainable for the future
At Lamont Pridmore we have recognised the importance of being green and have put in place various initiatives to help us achieve our aim of becoming carbon neutral by 2010.
Within our offices we have so far:
Increased insulation for all offices
Reduced heating levels by 1 degree
Installed more efficient heating systems
Developed car sharing schemes
Encouraged our team to use public transport wherever possible
Increased the amount of paper and consumables we recycle
In addition, we support green actions and projects in the wider community and are proud supporters of the Wild Ennerdale Project, www.wildennerdale.co.uk
In short, we are making sure that we are actively working to help reduce co2 levels and global warming while the world’s governments and economies grapple with the development and implementation of sustainable, renewable energy sources.
