Environmental Improvements and Energy Efficiency Grants:

Industry: Farming, Forestry, Landowners

Eligible Expenditure: This scheme aims to provide grants to farmers and land managers in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, National Parks, and the Broads.

Grant Rate: Up to 75%

Grant Value: TBC

Deadline for Applications: 31/03/2025

Here are examples of eligible expenditures:

  • Support nature recovery
  • Mitigate the impacts of climate change
  • Promote sustainable farm businesses

Business Equipment & Technology Grant:

Industry: Manufacturing Business

Eligible Expenditure: This grant supports technology projects, including equipment and specialist advice.

Grant Rate: 50%

Grant Value: Up to £20,000

Deadline for Applications: 31/7/24

Examples of eligible expenditure, include:

  • CNC machines
  • Ordering software
  • Specialist printing equipment
  • Laser cutting equipment
  • 3D printers
  • CRM software
  • Purchasing software
  • Computers
  • Automated manufacturing equipment

Green Technology, Equipment and Consultancy:

Industry: All

Eligible Expenditure: This category focuses on energy-efficient and carbon-reduction equipment and consultancy.

Grant Rate:

  • 70% (up to £14,000 spent)
  • 100% (up to £3,000 spent)

Deadline for Applications: 31/8/24

Examples of eligible expenditure, include:

  • Renewable energy technology (e.g., solar panels, solar thermal, and associated electrical battery or heat storage)
  • Improvements to building thermal fabric (additional insulation, window upgrades)
  • The transition from fossil-fuelled to electrical heating and fixed equipment
  • Energy efficiency upgrades for lighting and electrical systems
  • Building energy control enhancements
  • Upgrades to electrical infrastructure and metering (including EV charge points or solar PV panels)
  • Equipment for resource consumption reduction
  • Equipment for waste reduction
  • Accreditations
  • Research and development.

Abattoir Fund

Industry: Farming / Manufacturing

Eligible Expenditure: The grant supports improvements in productivity, animal health and welfare, value addition to primary products, and encourages innovation through new technologies.

Grant Rate: 40%

Grant Value: Up to £60,000

Deadline for Applications: 31/07/24

Examples of eligible expenditure, include:

  • Business equipment
  • Software
  • Automation equipment and consultancy

Environmental Improvement Grants

Industry: Farming / Landowners, occupiers, tenants

Eligible Expenditure: The grant supports capital expenditure aimed at enhancing the environment.

Grant Rate: Up to 75%

Grant Value: Up to £300,000

Deadline for Applications: 31/7/24

Examples of eligible expenditure, include:

  • Increasing Biodiversity: Initiatives that promote a diverse range of plant and animal species.
  • Improving Habitat: Efforts to enhance natural habitats for wildlife.
  • Expanding Woodland Areas: Projects that contribute to the growth and preservation of wooded spaces.
  • Improving Water Quality: Measures to enhance the purity and health of water bodies.
    • Improving Air Quality: Actions that lead to cleaner air and reduced pollution.
    • Improving Natural Flood Management: Strategies to manage floods using natural processes.
