One of Queen Elizabeth School Grammar School’s top students has been presented with an award by Cumbrian accountants, Lamont Pridmore.
The Penrith pupil, Ethan Ross, is excited to have won this year’s Lamont Pridmore Prize for Economics and Business.
Nominated by the Head of Economics and Politics, Kate Judge, Ethan who attends the school in Penrith, was recognised for his achievement of an A grade for Business during his A Levels and making exceptional progress within his course.
Ethan, who is going on to study Economics at university was presented with the award and a book voucher by Trevor Iredale from Lamont Pridmore, at the school’s awards presentation evening on 5th January.
“It was a real pleasure to present the award to Ethan who has achieved so much in his time studying at Queen Elizabeth. It will stand him in good stead, not only for his next step onto studying at university but also in whatever direction he takes afterwards,” said Trevor Iredale, an Independent Financial Adviser at Lamont Pridmore.
Lamont Pridmore supports several school awards across Cumbria, through which it promotes the benefits of business studies in hopes of cultivating the region’s next generation of business leaders.
It has worked with Queen Elizabeth Grammar School for many years and remains proud of its sponsorship of this annual award.
